Hotels offered range from the two-star Maui Islander on Maui and the Island on the Beach on Kauai, to the islands’ five-star Hilton and Sheraton properties. The company’s 1999 lead-in price for two weeks on Oahu, Maui and Kauai is £1,200 per person for three-star room-only accommodation. Price includes flights.
Kuoni: offers Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Lanai in its US brochure. It offers two-star to five-star hotels. A celebration package is available at the five-star Royal Hawaiian on Oahu for a Tower Ocean Front room with a minimum stay of four nights and complimentary bottle of wine, daily breakfast for two, dinner for two in the surf room, choice of baseball cap or beach bag, a Waikiki trolley pass and a commemorative gift. A seven-night stay at the hotel, which qualifies for the celebration package, costs £1,172 per person. Price includes flights.
Sovereign: includes Hawaii for the first time. Multi-centre and tailor-made holidays arranged. Hotels are all four or five-star, including the Sheraton Kauai Resort and the Hotel Royal Waikoloan on Hawaii. Special offers at the hotel include a seventh night free for stays of six nights between March 1 and December 18 1999. Guests who upgrade to Ocean View rooms at the hotel get $25 a day dining credit per room. A one-week stay in early April leads in at £975 per person. Price includes one free night and flights with United Airlines.
