Disney to open hotel in 2001
WALT Disney World Resort will open a new themed hotel in Florida near its latest park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, in spring next year.It is being marketed as an oasis resort offering panoramic views of roaming wildlife in a 30-acre private savannah with 1,307 rooms.
Designed to recreate the feel of an African game reserve lodge, rooms and luxury suites will have tapestry furnishings, bright colours and hand-carved furniture.
Other facilities include third-floor lobby with thatched ceiling, mud fireplace and views of the park, swimming pools, Simba’s Clubhouse for children and a family restaurant.
Disney now owns and operates 18 resorts.
