Business Travel Association joins government ‘Travel Aware’ campaign

The Business Travel Association has joined the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office ‘Travel Aware’ campaign.

Key information about business travel will be provided to be included in the campaign.

The BTA will also promote the FCDO’s global travel advice to its members.

Travel Aware, established in 2014, aims to increase confidence, while asking travellers to engage with travel advice and understand the steps that need to be taken for a safe and enjoyable trip.

BTA chief executive Clive Wratten said: “Providing insight into business travel needs, adds a vital dimension to the previously leisure-led campaign from the FCDO.

“Our members and partners will now be able to provide business travellers with clear information ahead of travelling internationally for work.”

Jennifer Anderson, FCDO director of consular, added: “We are delighted that the BTA is now a Travel Aware partner and look forward to working with them to provide essential information to business travellers, including the FCDO’s global travel advice.”

The BTA will attend its first round table in September.
