The Cayman Islands is to remove quarantine curbs for fully vaccinated travellers in October as part of a staged plan to reopen to international tourism.
A five-phase approach to ensure a “safe and healthy experience” for visitors has been outlined by the Cayman Islands government in conjunction with health authorities, and the public and private sectors.
The fourth stage will see quarantine requirements removed for all vaccinated travellers from October 14. Unvaccinated visitors will be required to quarantine upon arrival for a 14-days.
While cruise tourism remains prohibited, unvaccinated children under 12 will be allowed to travel with vaccinated adult tourists from November 18.

Up to four direct flights week are due to be run by British Airways from Heathrow to Grand Cayman from the autumn.
The British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean aims for a full reopening for all travellers from January 27, 2022.
The destination was among 27 territories added to the UK’s green watchlist last month as part of the government’s traffic light system for international travel, however many do not currently let British travellers in. The next review is expected on Thursday (July 15).
The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism said: “By following a controlled reopening programme to maintain its best in class Covid-safe experience and protocols, the destination is committed to ensuring the ongoing safety, security and peace of mind of visitors and the local population
“At all phases, public health officials will monitor the prevalence rate and spread of Covid-19.
“Transition between stages will be determined by a myriad of factors.
“At all phases, all inbound travellers are required to make a declaration of travel and vaccination status on Travel Cayman Portal, and present the declaration certificate, vaccination documents, and provide proof of medical insurance which includes coverage for Covid-19 upon arrival.”
