Emirates ramps up China services

Emirates is stepping up services to China following the country reopening borders and easing Covid-related entry restrictions.

Operations are being ramped up ahead of the New Lunar Year with a boost in connectivity between Dubai and the gateways of Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.

Flights to Shanghai resume on January 20 twice a week rising to a daily schedule from March 1 with some flights operating via Bangkok.

The airline returns to Beijing from March 15 with daily flights while an existing four flights a week schedule to Guangzhou rises to daily non-stop flights from February 1.

Connectivity to eight domestic points is offered at Guangzhou via  codeshare agreement with China Southern Airlines.

Emirates has been serving China for nearly two decades and has established its presence in the market through strategic partnerships and a continued commitment to the local community throughout the pandemic.

The move comes ahead of a second daily Stansted-Dubai frequency being added from May 1.
