Outlook for Gulf tourism assessed in free 48-page Insight Report

The outlook for aviation in the Gulf region and the potential for growth sectors including cruise and wellness tourism are among the focuses of a new free 48-page report produced by Travel Weekly’s Middle East sister brand Connecting Travel.

The Connecting Travel Insight Report has been created in partnership with Deloitte, which has partnered with Travel Weekly on its own Insight Report for the past decade.

The Connecting Travel report lays out the government-mapped tourism goals and strategies of the countries that make up the Gulf Cooperation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

It also focuses on areas including sustainability, technology and emerging travel trends.

The report was launched during Arabian Travel Market at an event which also marked the first anniversary of the Connecting Travel brand.

The event at Dubai’s Hyde Hotel featured a keynote speech from Deloitte Middle East partner Hassan Malik followed by a panel discussion featuring John Bevan, divisional senior vice-president of dnata Travel; Hoor Al Khaja, associate vice-president of international operations for the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and Tarique Khatri, executive vice-president of the Centre of Excellence for Seera Group.
