Ryanair passenger numbers rose by 10% last month to 11.2 million over November 2021.
The increase gave Europe’s largest airline a rolling annual total of 158.4 million passengers, a rise of 144%.
The November passenger load factor was up by five percentage points year-on-year to 92%.
The no-frills airline operated 64,100 flights during the month.
The figures came as budget rival Wizz Air reported 3.7 million carryings in November, up 70% over the same month in 2021.
The eastern and central European airline’s rolling annual passenger total was up by 123% to 44.1 million.
The month saw the announce expansion from Larnaca in Cyprus with a doubling of its fleet to four aircraft operating 33 routes to destinations in 18 countries and increasing frequency to others such as Luton.
Wizz Air also signed a deal with Vienna-based Oil, gas and chemicals firm OMV for the supply of sustainable aviation fuel between 2023 and 2030.
