The Tui Care Foundation has launched an appeal to help relief work following the devastating earthquakes that hit southeastern Turkey and Syria earlier this week.
The foundation – part of the holiday giant Tui – has pledged to match every donation made to its new emergency relief fund appeal, pound for pound.
As part of the foundation’s partnership with Unicef, the fund will support the UN charity’s emergency relief efforts where help is needed most – and 100% of every donation will go directly to the emergency support.

Tui sends thousands of customers to Turkey every year, and its charitable foundation was set up to support the communities in which it operates.
The foundation said financial donations will be more effective than the collection of items, because funds can be directed quickly and easily to ensure that support reaches those in need as soon as possible.
Andrew Flintham, Tui UK and Ireland managing director, said: “We are devastated to hear of the scale of the disaster in Turkey and the massive impact it has had on thousands of people.
“As a travel provider who operates in the country, it is essential for us to contribute to relief efforts and help the people who have lost their homes and are in desperate need of support.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected by the earthquake.”
Several other travel firms have have set up appeals to support charities helping people in the affected areas of southern Turkey and northern Syria.
