German river line A-Rosa has confirmed it will resume operations with sailings on the Douro and Danube in mid-June.
The first voyage in Portugal will depart on June 16 and will mark the beginning of a series of seven-night roundtrip Douro Experience sailings from Porto to the border with Spain.
On June 19, A-Rosa will start seven-night Danube Classic sailings.
The line will operate two sailings on the Rhine from June 27. One sails from Cologne to Basel before returning to the German city and the other combines the Rhine and the Moselle rivers.
A-Rosa said it would confirm restart plans in France “shortly” but added that it was likely cruises would resume in July.

In a statement, it said: “The A-Rosa team is monitoring the developments in all the areas it sails on a daily basis and plans to gradually return more ships into service.”
International passengers will be able to sail with A-Rosa, in line with each country’s entry and exit requirements.
Passengers, who are not fully vaccinated against Covid-19 must provide proof of a negative PCR or antigen test result upon arrival at the ship.
Testing will also be carried out before boarding the vessel and “regularly” during the sailing, the line said.
