TV and radio presenter Dr Michael Mosley, whose body was found four days after he went missing on the Greek island of Symi, was due to appear as a guest speaker on a Saga cruise.
The Just One Thing podcast host had been booked to join a 30-night Caribbean sailing from Portsmouth on November 5 as part of a new collaboration with BBC Studios, when he was due to discuss the making of the health and wellbeing programme.
Dr Mosley was reported missing after he left Agios Nikolaos beach to set off on a walk at about 1.30pm local time last Wednesday.
CCTV footage showed he had walked to the other side of the bay in intense heat and across rocky terrain.
His body was found on a hillside near Agia Marina beach bar on Sunday following an extensive search.
Dr Mosley was known for his TV programmes including Trust Me, I’m a Doctor, as well as BBC Radio 4’s Just One Thing podcast.
A Saga Cruises spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with Michael’s family at this incredibly difficult time and we join everyone in offering our deepest sympathies.”
