Riviera puts 2022 Russia river cruises on sale

Riviera Travel has unveiled eight 2022 sailings for its Russian Odyssey river cruise itinerary.

The 12-day sailings will take place between May and August next year on the 224-passenger MS Rossia, which was built to navigate the waterways of Russia.

The itinerary includes guided tours of Moscow, St Petersburg, Uglich and Yaroslavl.

There will be onboard talks about Russian history; interactive demonstrations of local cooking, language and handicrafts; and live entertainment every night including classical and traditional Russian music.

Prices start from £2,199 based on two people sharing a cabin, which includes all meals on-board, return flights, transfers, tours and port taxes.

The cruise is also available to book this year, with sailings from June to August.

Katja Hildebrandt, head of river cruising at Riviera Travel, said: “Russia boasts an epic history, monumental architecture, incredible culture and sweeping landscapes that are uniquely explored via the comfort and convenience of a river cruise.

“The sailing has proved popular with guests for this year and we’re confident that 2022 will be no different as international travel continues to open up.”
