A-Rosa adds 50 extra excursions to 2024 programme

A-Rosa River Cruises has added more than 5o excursions to its 2024 programme, bringing the total to 650.

On the Douro, five new excursions are available, including two small group options, such as a tour of the Quinta da Pacheca wine region, with the option of enjoying a Portuguese lunch.

A-Rosa Alea (pictured) and A-Rosa Clea will both begin sailing on the Rhine in April and have “boosted” excursion opportunities, the line said, as the ships are smaller than others in the fleet meaning they can sail “directly into the heart of ports”.

The line is offering a new group excursion from Trier to Idar-Oberstein, as well as a Christmas market excursion in Strasbourg.

A-Rosa has also added a flight experience in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, a trip to Gödöllö Castle near Budapest, and a visit to a chateau in France’s Ardeche region to participate in a wine tasting.

Passengers can save up to 15% on excursions if three or more are pre-booked.

Lucia Rowe, managing director for the UK and Ireland, said: “River cruising is all about exploring the destinations you sail through and our latest excursion offering offers some unforgettable ways to do just that.

“As always, flexibility is at the heart of everything we do so guests can choose to join a group tour, opt for a more exclusive tour of choose an individual tour just for them. They can, of course, also step off the ship and explore independently should they wish.”
