Accessible specialist Limitless Travel joins Abta

The boss of disabled-friendly specialist Limitless Travel says customers will benefit from “reassurance provided by the Abta Code of Conduct” as a result of the operator joining the travel association.

Chief executive Angus Drummond said Limitless Travel – which has taken more than 1,000 people away on holiday since its launch in 2017 – was “delighted” to become an Abta member this month.

“We feel that Abta’s purpose for helping its members grow their business successfully and sustainably and to help their customers travel with confidence really strikes a chord with our mission at Limitless Travel to make the world of travel accessible to everyone,” he said.

Danny Waine, head of membership at Abta, added: “People have confidence and strong trust in the Abta brand, which is one of the huge benefits travel businesses get when joining Abta.

“All Abta members sign up to a code of conduct and commit to agreed service standards, accurate advertising and fair trading. Booking with our members gives travellers peace of mind.

He added: “We’re delighted to welcome Limitless Travel on board and I look forward to working with the team there.”

Abta has more than 3,900 travel brands in its membership, which had a £40 billion turnover before the pandemic.

The news comes after Limitless Travel reported a 55% hike in booking values in 2022 versus 2021.

It said customers were willing to spend more on a premium long-haul trip rather than multiple short breaks.
