Advantage increases support for members as it targets ‘ambitious growth’

Advantage Travel Partnership is increasing the number of its member steering groups and its membership services team as it targets ‘ambitious growth’.

The consortium said it was adapting following a 25% rise in the number of its members while aiming to retain a ‘family feel’ to the consortium.

Speaking at the Advantage Travel Partnership conference in Benidorm, chief commercial officer Kelly Cookes said: “We will be doing two things moving forward to continue to have that family feel.

“We will be increasing the number of member steering groups. They are an invaluable way of engaging on new initiatives with our communities. And we will be changing and increasing our membership team.”

Three lead roles have been created to run its standard, Advantage Managed Services and business travel members. These roles are being filled by Sarah Miller, Emily Shannon and Andy Boorman respectively.

The consortium is also upping is on-the-road team for agents with five additional business development roles created in membership services, with one already in place. Zoe Adams has been taken on as BDM for standard members in the south of England.

Cookes said: “We have ambitious growth plans. It’s only by continuing to grow that we can deliver that value for members.

“We recognise the opportunity to continue to grow. Our focus is on delivering for current members, through commercial benefits but also through products and services.”

Last year the consortium held 60 events in the UK, with 75% of member attending at least one event, she said.
