Coach tour operator Brightwater Holidays has launched its ‘Essentials Collection’ with 10 UK-based, budget tours.
Holidays start from £375 for a four-day break, and all include one day of leisure or the chance to join an optional excursion for an additional fee. All breakfasts and dinners are included.
Among the new itineraries is a tour devoted to sites associated with Shakespeare, a holiday to Durham and Whitby, and a break that delves into the history of Hadrian’s Wall.

Three of the 10 tours have no single supplements to pay and seven have supplements that start from £60.
Guests on the Shakespeare’s England tour will be picked up from London, Heathrow, High Wycombe or Oxford and stay in Stratford-upon-Avon for three nights. Visits include Shakespeare’s birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s cottage, and prices start from £375 with a £75 single supplement.
For those preferring to go further north, the Delights of the Lake District tour will see guests spend four nights at a hotel within the Lake District National Park, take a trip on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, cruise on Lake Windemere and visits to Grasmere and Coniston. Prices start from £475 with no single supplement.
Guests on the Southern Comfort Paddle Boat and Seaside Escape tour will spend four nights at a Norwich hotel, with visits to the Norwich Castle Museum and art gallery and Great Yarmouth, as well as a paddle boat trip along the Norfolk Broads. There is the option to take an excursion to Cromer and Sheringham and board the North Norfolk Railway.
