Colletts Travel has reported an increased interest in long-haul destinations for the Easter holidays compared to last year.
The agency, which is part of Global Travel Collection, said it has seen higher interest in travel to countries including Japan, the Caribbean, Dubai, the US, Mauritius, South Africa and Abu Dhabi for Easter trips.
The company said families are “heavily driving” bookings, with trips ranging from 10-14 nights compared to between seven and 10 nights in 2023.

Colletts Travel has also noted a surge in ski holiday bookings, particularly in Switzerland, which it has attributed to the early Easter this year.
Head of contracting and tour operations Jennifer Hartnett said: “Easter is a special time for families to come together for a memorable holiday.
“Our focus on long-haul destinations aligns perfectly with the extended holiday period, allowing travellers to make the most of their Easter break.”
Global Travel Collection’s vice-president for the UK Francesca Mendola added: “Our luxury leisure division has been thriving and we have been seeing a significant increase in length of trips.
“For many families, Easter will be the first holiday of the year and it is promising to see our travellers venturing further to experience culture around the world.”
