Fred Holidays has added a cruise-and-land itinerary in south-east Asia to its recently-launched Fred Discover programme.
The 13-night Riches of the Mekong, Cambodia & Vietnam itinerary combines two nights in both Siem Reap, Cambodia, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with a seven-night cruise on the Mekong.
There are two departures on October 21, 2022, and January 27, 2023.
Passengers can also take a full-day tour of Angkor Archaeological Park during the two-night stay in Siem Reap.
From Siem Reap, passengers will board the 124-passenger AmaDara vessel and sail from Cambodia to Vietnam.
Highlights of the cruise include Cambodia’s former royal capital, Oudong, and a Buddhist blessing ceremony at a monastery; and a day on AmaDara (pictured) as it crosses the border into Vietnam.
After disembarking travellers will transfer into Ho Chi Minh City where they will spend two nights, including a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a 136-mile underground tunnel network used by the Viet Cong soldiers.
Prices for the itinerary start from £3,289.
Laura Wilson, product and sales manager for Fred Discover, said: “This new itinerary not only takes holidaymakers on a trip of a lifetime, but provides travel agents with a fantastic opportunity to sell a fully-commissionable and fully-protected package at a particularly good price point.”
