G Touring appoints Adam Kemp as MD ‘to grow brands globally’

G Touring has named Adam Kemp as its new managing director as it targets expansion in the UK and across several international markets.

Kemp will join the touring specialist, which operates Travelsphere and Just You, on February 20 from Audley Travel, where he is head of marketing.

Bruce Poon Tip, owner of G Touring parent company G Adventures, described Kemp as “the ideal person for the role” and said his focus would be on growing G Touring’s brands globally.

“Travelsphere is a legacy brand in the UK. We’ve moved it a bit from what it was, but the next evolution is getting ready for the future,” he said, adding the group wanted to resume selling in North America and expand into the new markets of Australia and New Zealand.

Poon Tip described Kemp as a “strong and inclusive global leader with great analytical skills”, whose background in digital and customer acquisition marketing would benefit G Touring, as he revealed there was still potential for significant growth in the UK.

“Adam is an incredibly strong leader who will not only guide the G Touring team to success but also has the ability to ensure G Touring succeeds commercially, while staying true to its own brand values,” he said.

“He is also accomplished in the digital space, which will give G Touring a huge advantage for the future.”

Poon Tip said a major focus for Kemp – who replaces Alastair Campbell – would be on using data to “serve the right product, to the right customer at the right time”.

Under Kemp’s leadership, G Touring will remain committed to all its trade partners, he promised.

Prior to his time at Audley, Kemp was head of ecommerce at dmg media where he was responsible for partnerships across the travel, retail and finance sectors with a specific focus on escorted tours and cruises.

Commenting on his new role, Kemp said: “Just You and Travelsphere both have incredible reputations along with extremely loyal customers and trade partners.
“The trajectory that G Touring has been on over the last few years has been incredible.

“I have been watching its success closely and I am delighted to become part of what is a very dedicated and customer-focused team.”
