Hugo Boss, RayBan and Apple among retailers on Arvia

P&O Cruises’ newest ship Arvia features more than 200 brands in its 900sqft retail space.

A total of 34 brands are new to the cruise line, 18 of which are the first to be featured at sea, including Scotch & Soda, Floral Street beauty and Tidal Rum.

Cruise retailer Harding+ said sustainability is a key focus for the brands, one of which sells pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories from brands including Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

The retail space, called The Avenue, will also feature a range of pop-up shops and guest experiences, including a perfume bar and a skincare shop with demonstrations on how to use its products.

Other brands on board include Pandora, Mulberry, Barbour, RayBan, Hugo boss, Swarovski and Apple.

James Prescott, chief executive Harding+, said the shop choices was “borne from a deep dive and ongoing understanding from our proprietary data of what it is that cruise guests want to buy”.

“Our in house design team have worked with the P&O Cruises architects and design teams and demonstrate that cruise retail models, design builds, ranges and experiences now match or exceed the best of high street retail globally,” he said.

“And understanding the unique dwell time and guest attitude that doesn’t exist elsewhere, in mainstream or other travel retail channels, allows us to push boundaries and change expectations for guests every time they join a cruise.”
