Inspire agent secures biggest booking worth £55,000

Inspire Group agent Shaun Taylor made his biggest booking last week worth £55,000, while achieving an outstanding level of sales for the month.

Taylor has been working with Inspire as a homeworker for the last 18 months and opened his first store – Inspire Travel by Shaun – in Bourne, Lincolnshire in June.

He secured the £55,000 Sandals booking for a family holiday to Jamaica next summer.

The Caribbean booking, together with a healthy level of sales throughout the rest of the month, helped him hit £100,000 in overall sales for September.

Taylor, who previously worked for Thomas Cook and Tui before being made redundant, is now looking to employ his first sales consultant via the via the government’s kickstart scheme to help with the increased demand.

He said: “Investing in the store was a big gamble, especially as we were still in the thick of the pandemic, but it has paid off. Achieving sales in excess of £100,000 is a massive achievement for me, and business going forward is looking positive.

“I am getting more and more enquiries every day as confidence returns. Cruises seem to be getting popular again, both ocean and river, and consumers appear to want more luxury now, after not being able to have one for so long.

“It’s been great. The town seems to be really pleased to have a travel agency back open here again.”

Inspire Group managing director Lisa Henning said: “We are so pleased that Shaun is doing so well. He has worked hard to get his business established and achieving £100,000 of sales in a month is a truly fantastic achievement.

“All of our homeworkers are reporting stronger sales day-by-day and on the back of what we have all been through, it is all very encouraging.”
