Inspire recruits head of business development and training

The Inspire Group has recruited Sam Fisher for the newly created role of head of business development and training.

Fisher will join Cheshire-based Inspire in March after moving from Bedsonline, where she has been key account manager for the north since July 2019.

She will help expand the 40-strong sales team, which includes Inspire’s independent travel advisors.

Her appointment will see Andrew Jennings move from his role as head of travel to the newly created post of head of marketing and commercial.

Lisa Henning, managing director at Inspire Europe, said the role of head of travel needed to be enhanced and expanded, so two senior roles had to be created.

Jennings will focus on the company’s marketing strategy and building relationships with business partners.

Henning added: “[Fisher] has all the skills and experience we are looking for at Inspire to help strengthen and support our team of independent travel advisors and our sales team.

“Sam has a solid track record of building strong motivated teams, as demonstrated when she worked for Discover Holidays, where she helped take the business from four to 45 employees.

“Her experience in the area of business development is also well respected throughout the industry. She will be a great asset to us, and we can’t wait to welcome her onboard.”

Fisher said: “I am very much looking forward to being part of a business that has such an exciting development agenda. Inspire has already got a really strong sales team in place, which we can build on and grow.”
