MSC Cruises has reported “record-breaking” sales in January and said it is on track to exceed its 2024 revenue targets.
The cruise line hailed the “fantastic” performance of travel agents, saying it has just experienced its “strongest week ever” in the UK and Ireland plus its best weekend of sales in its history.
Ex-UK May and June short cruises have been most popular, the line reported, due to their “ease and convenience” for passengers.

Antonio Paradiso, who was recently promoted to vice-president of international sales for MSC Group’s cruise division alongside his role as UK & Ireland managing director of MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, said he “couldn’t be more grateful” to the trade and he is “excited” about the brand’s upcoming plans.
“We’ve just had our strongest weekend ever in the UK and Ireland and we’re on track to not only reach but also exceed our revenue targets this year,” he said.
“Our travel agent partners have been doing a fantastic job to sell our world-leading cruise holidays and I couldn’t be more grateful to them.
“As January draws to a close and we have enjoyed a record-breaking month ending with our best weekend of sales ever in both the UK and Ireland, I couldn’t be more excited about the plans we have in the pipeline.
“These include welcoming the UK’s most loved cruise ship, MSC Virtuosa, back to Southampton in April and launching brand new itineraries to the Canaries and other destinations.”
