MSC Cruises resumes gala nights and on board activities

MSC Cruises is resuming gala nights on board ships after the entire fleet returned to service following the pandemic.

Passengers will be encouraged to dress up and join officers and crew for stylish events and activities.

Special spa services will be available for passengers to pamper and prepare for the elegant events of the evening.

Each evening will start with a captain’s welcome cocktail and presentation, followed by a gala main sing room dinner including live entertainment.

The best production show of the cruise will take place on gala nights, together with live music in various venues.

Other themed evenings also return and the opening hours of kids’ clubs have been extended with lunch available and the option for parents to leave children under supervision to get off the ship again.

Disco are re-opening alongside a full live music programme.

Capacity at the aqua parks, pool games and sports tournaments has been increased.

“The return of a wide range of entertainment programming from live music to grand-scale theatrical shows will create an exciting experience onboard as guests return to cruising,” the line said.

Global head of entertainment Steve Leatham added: “Gala night has always been one of the most anticipated events of the MSC Cruise experience, and we are excited to bring it back, along with our full entertainment programme.

“With a variety of celebratory events taking place throughout the evening, gala night is the ideal setting for guests from all around the world to come together, feel special and celebrate – something that we have all dearly missed over the last two years.”
