Domestic group travel specialist JG Travel Group has recruited industry veteran Neil Hardy as director of marketing and e-commerce.
He will move from his current role as head of omnichannel at Midcounties Co-operative. Before that position, he was marketing and digital director at the Specialist Leisure Group (SLG), which went into administration in May 2020.
Hardy will take up his new role on August 2.
The company said his recruitment is “a key appointment in the group’s growth plans for its brands, which include Just Go! Holidays, Omega Breaks and National Holidays,
He has a wealth of marketing and digital experience, plus extensive knowledge of the group tours sector.
Reporting to JG Travel Group chief executive Andy Freeth, Hardy will be responsible for the marketing, digital and studio teams.
Freeth said: “He will play a pivotal role in ensuring The JG Travel Group meets its strategic objectives through the optimisation of marketing performance, specifically through digital.”
Hardy added: “The group has seen some very impressive growth recently, and I look forward to working with the team to accelerate the marketing and e-commerce strategy for its fantastic range of brands.”
The group acquired National Holidays’ brand and database in July 2020 after the SLG collapse.
