Richard De Villa has been named as new Club Med marketing director for the UK and Nordics.
He joins from Malaysia Airlines where he was UK and Europe head of marketing, having previously worked at the Philippines Embassy in the Department of Tourism for more than ten years.
De Villa will report to the newly appointed Club Med UK and Nordics managing director Nicolas Bresch.
In his new role, De Villa will be in charge of a team of seven across the UK marketing function with a particular focus on PR, social media, CRM and the website.
He will play a “pivotal role” in continuing to build the Club Med brand and understanding of its positioning as the leading premium all-inclusive operator.
Bresch said: “Richard brings with him the perfect skillset to compliment our team and I am looking forward to working with him on some of our rapid growth plans.”
De Villa added: “Club Med represents what I love about travel, from skiing to the beach and everything in between.
“We have an exciting pipeline of resort openings and developments, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to support these ambitious growth plans.”
