Charlotte Hughes is joining Princess Cruises as regional development and engagement manager for the north.

She previously worked at Cruise118 and has more than 20 years experience in the travel industry.

Andrew Jeans has been appointed regional development and engagement manager for the south having previously worked for P&O Cruises and Cunard.

Both Hughes and Jeans will begin their roles on March 27, alongside Jared Smith who has been appointed senior executive of sales.

Emily Martin has taken on the role of senior sales operations executive having previously worked as a marketing and sales executive.

She will be responsible for “creative input” into the line’s trade marketing, training platforms and social media.

Karen Royal has taken on the role of sales operations executive. She has spent the last eight years working at the Princess UK contact centre and has a “copious amount of knowledge and expertise to bring to the role”, the line said.

UK and Europe sales director Nick Hughes said he hopes the appointments will help support agents and boost sales.

“We just finalised our additional team members and we are really excited for them all to start,” he told Travel Weekly.

“We want to engage with the agents and our sales team are key for helping support them to understand who we are and what makes us different.

“We want the growth in our team to be reflected in sales and, with our larger team, we will be able to speak to more agents this year than we ever have before which will be critical in our success.”

He added: “We are not the biggest sales team in the UK, but we are equal in our determination to support agents.”
