Protected Travel Shops opens relocated Fleetwood branch

Protected Travel Shops has relocated its store in Fleetwood in Lancashire to new town centre premises.

The new store is still based in Lord Street in the town but is now in larger premises, formerly a Tui shop.

Staff have been working out of a sister branch in Thornton Cleveleys since moving from the old premises at the start of August while the new shop has been fitted out and decorated.

The store was previously branded World Travel Lounge, part of Book in Style, but was taken over by Protected Travel Services, a sister company to Protected Trust Services (PTS), in January this year.

On its first day in the new premises, the shop generated an “impressive volume of bookings”, exceeding expectations, the company said.

Emma Collis, executive director, Protected Trust Services, praised the team’s efforts.

She said: “I could not be prouder of the resilience, hard work, and commitment that our team have shown during this move. We are eternally grateful to our dedicated customers for their continued loyalty and support. Many have visited the shop in recent weeks, bringing gifts, cards, and words of encouragement, reinforcing our excitement about the new location.”

Jo Holloway, sales and operations manager for Protected Travel Shops, who played a key role in the successful launch, added: “I am absolutely thrilled with how it’s all come together. Seeing the customers’ enthusiastic response on opening day was very rewarding. The high-street visibility of this new shop offers us a fantastic space to showcase our offerings as an independent travel agency.”

The company, which also has branches in Thornton Cleveleys and Leyland, invited suppliers to visit staff at its new location.
