Sandals Resorts International has announced a multi-million dollar renovation of the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island to mark 25 years in the Bahamas.
The revamp will include the addition of river suites and an overhaul of more than 200 existing rooms and suites.
The hotel, spa and private island in Nassau in the Bahamas will remain shut during the renovations and will reopen ahead of the winter season, starting on November 4, 2021.
Holidaymakers with bookings at the resort during the closure period will be offered alternative options or will be able to postpone their stay, said the company.
Executive chairman Adam Stewart said: “ Sandals Royal Bahamian has a storied past and played a starring role in the history of Bahamian tourism, hosting rock stars and royalty and we pledge our continued commitment to this captivating island.
“We honour and celebrate our partnership with this great destination looking forward not only to reopening this fall, but to the future, when together, Sandals and the Bahamas will continue to exceed our guests’ expectations.”
