Sandals BDM joins Blue Bay Travel’s homeworking division

Former Sandals business development manager Tamzin Bishop has joined Blue Bay Travel’s homeworking division.

Bishop (pictured centre) has moved to The Personal Travel Consultants in partnership with Blue Bay Travel after four-and-a-half years at Sandals to increase the flexibility of her work role while she sets up her own business.

Bishop, who also has 11 years’ experience at Riviera Travel as a sales development manager prior to working for Sandals, said she hoped to set up a dog walking business while continuing to work in the travel industry.

She said: “I’m delighted to have joined the Personal Travel Consultants. I wanted to make the change to have more flexibility and set-up my new dog walking business, Tam’s Best Friend.

“However, travel is my one true love and the PTC deal available with Blue Bay is very competitive. I know them so well, so I knew it would be a great place to start my new journey. I’m looking forward to being able to sell the whole world again, and not just select destinations.”

PTC sales manager Abbie Heaton said: “Over the years, Tamzin has become a close friend to Blue Bay. We are delighted to have her joining as a Personal Travel Consultant. With her experience and passion, we are sure that this new venture will be a resounding success.”

Blue Bay chief executive Alistair Rowland said Bishop’s decision to join the company’s homeworking division demonstrated a desire for a better work-life balance.

He said: “Having Tamzin join us is big news for the industry and shows how there has been a shift towards agents wanting more flexibility to find a work-life balance. PTC has continued to go from strength to strength, with 40 consultants now part of the division. We are certain that Tamzin will have a great start with us.”
