Built next to sister resort Atlantis The Palm, the 43-storey hotel offers views over Palm Island and the Arabian Gulf.

The property has 795 rooms, with 44 of the luxury suites and penthouses featuring private infinity pools.

The six towers that make up the building are connected by a 90-metre pool on the 22nd floor, which forms part of an outdoor entertainment venue called Cloud 22, with private plunge pools, a swim up-bar and DJ booth.

Atlantis The Royal is also home to celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal’s first cocktail bar, with a 6.5-metre high jellyfish aquarium.

When Atlantis The Palm opened in 2008, guests included Robert DeNiro, Gerard Butler, Kylie Minogue and Priyanka Chopra.
