Travel Counsellors has reported a boom in business travel sales on pre-pandemic levels.
The homeworking firm said corporate travel transactions during November and December were up by 52% compared with the same period in 2019. The company’s new financial year started in November 2022 and runs until October 2023.
Sales for the same period are 73% up on 2021.
The firm reported 1,542 corporate bookings were made last week, also outperforming 2019.
It has enjoyed a 20% increase in new account openings compared with 2019 and as a result Travel Counsellors is investing in growing its direct sales to focus on new client acquisition in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Kieran Hartwell, managing director, corporate said: “We are thrilled to see such a rapid pick up in corporate bookings throughout 2022, with sales for the full financial year up by 23% overall compared to 2019 levels.
“These strong results are a reflection of the care and trusted travel advice that all our Travel Counsellors give to their corporate customers, and we can be positive and optimistic for our continued corporate growth as we go into 2023. This is further reflected in the positive results from our corporate client surveys.”
A survey of 1,300 of Travel Counsellors’ corporate clients in October 2022 showed 95% were satisfied with the service they were receiving, with 94% stating they would recommend Travel Counsellors for business.
