Travel Counsellors is running a ‘Summer of Love’ initiative with Disney Destinations International to boost the expertise of its homeworking agents.
The series of exclusive fam trips and experiences with Disney began at the Clia conference in May, when Disney Destinations International hosted a special pre-conference session about Disney Cruise Line.
Following this, more than 30 travel counsellors and support team members took part in a Disney training session in Manchester, which culminated in a performance of Disney’s Aladdin.

Fam trips have been a key part of the initiative, starting with a stay at Disneyland Paris for eight agents.
The highlight of the ‘Summer of Love’ was the Ultimate Walt Disney World Fam Trip supported by co-sponsor, DoSomethingDifferent.com.
This saw 16 travel counsellors and a support team colleague experience the attractions of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
The trip focused on the value of the Disney Magic Ticket, along with the current Free Dining and Drinks offer and combined a stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa with an exclusive visit aboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Wish, showcasing the breadth of Disney’s offerings.
Charlotte Helstrom, a travel counsellor who went on the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida trip, said: “I was thrilled to be part of the team on the Walt Disney World trip, as I got to spend time with my colleagues and friends while being truly spoiled by the exceptional Disney team.
“Experiencing it firsthand was amazing and will only help me to further provide expert advice and personal recommendations to my customers, ensuring every Disney holiday I book is magical.”
August and September will see offer more experiences with Disney Cruise Line, featuring ship visits aboard the Disney Dream as it returns to Europe with sailings from Southampton.
