Tailor-made travel specialist Travelbag has opened a shop in Harpenden town centre, its third branch to be opened in 2024 and its eighth overall.
After a soft launch from the beginning of October, the store in the Hertfordshire town will officially open today (October 24).
To mark the occasion, the Travelbag team will be joined by retired professional England rugby player, Chris Ashton, who will cut the ceremonial ribbon at 1pm.
Harpenden’s town mayor, Pip Liver, will also attend the opening celebration.
Customers are invited to visit from 11am to 4pm, with the shop giving away goodie bags and nibbles, and hosting a competition to win a trip to Canada.
Zara Kitching, head of sales, said: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of our eighth high street shop, and with it, the ongoing success of the brick-and-mortar division.
“At Travelbag, we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality, personalised travel experiences that they will cherish for a lifetime, and we believe that all starts on the high street.
“In our shop, our customers can speak to our highly trained travel specialists and choose the perfect trip to suit their needs.”
The first shop opening of 2024 was Marlow in February, followed by Cobham, with its official opening last month.
