Tui is increasing flights to 15 destinations out of Birmingham and Manchester airports this summer.
Capacity has been ramped up to Tui’s most popular destinations, including Kefalonia, Rhodes and Crete in Greece, and Turkey, Mallorca and Cyprus, to meet holiday demand.
It follows the operator’s recent decision to hike capacity for Easter from Manchester and Gatwick.
An extra aircraft has been based at both Birmingham and Manchester airports. In total, Tui will now operate 15 flights a week from Birmingham and 21 flights from Manchester.
More holidays of 10 and 11 nights will also be offered from the two airports for customers wishing to have a longer duration break in Greece, Mallorca, Cyprus or Turkey.
The new capacity comprises six additional flights from Birmingham Airport to six destinations: Crete, Rhodes, Dalaman, Antalya, Palma and Kos.
There are eight extra flights from Manchester Airport across seven different destinations. These are: Antalya, Kefalonia, Rhodes, Paphos, Crete, Dalaman and Palma.
Richard Sofer, Tui commercial and business development director, said: “Summer holidays are an important way for our customers to relax and reconnect with loved ones, and that’s never been more important than this year.
“To ensure we’re offering maximum flexibility and choice we’ve increased the number of flights to our most popular summer destinations with extra based aircraft at both Birmingham and Manchester Airport.
“We’re delighted international travel is bouncing back and the forecast for this summer’s holiday season is bright.”
