US Sports Travel puts first NFL packages on sale since Covid

US Sports Travel has put packages on sale to see American football games and baseball games later this year following its rebrand from NFL Weekends.

The specialist operator, which is keen to work with travel agents, broadened its portfolio to include baseball, basketball and ice hockey earlier this year.

It is the first time it has put NFL packages on sale since the pandemic.

Currently, it is offering two American football packages. The first is to New York from October 7-10 to see the Miami Dolphins play the New York Jets, costing from £1,650, and the second is to Miami from November 10-14 to see the Cleveland Browns play the Miami Dolphins, priced from £1,950. Both packages include pre-game tailgate parties.

The baseball packages now on sale are to Philadelphia from August 4-8 to see the Washington Nationals play the Philadelphia Phillies, from £1,690; and to New York from August 18-22 to see the New York Yankees play the Toronto Blue Jays, from £1,850. Both include pre-game food and drinks.

The trip to Philadelphia also includes a private question and answer evening with ex-England cricketer Liam Plunkett, who will accompany the trip and represents the operator in the US.

The Atol-protected packages include return flights, four or five star accommodation, airport transfers, game tickets and a host, as well as special experiences such as tailgate parties and optional extras.

US Sports Travel director James Ellwood said he hopes to release more packages in the near future depending on sales.

He said: “We are thrilled to be able to operate our first NFL tours post pandemic and are thankful to the NFL teams we are working with for being so accommodating.

“Sales have started well and we are hopeful that our product will be of interest to travel agents who have sports mad clients looking for innovative and value for money trips.”
