Virgin Voyages is introducing an online quoting tool in response to “strong demand” from agents.
The system, which will go live later in the month, will enable agents to package flights, hotel stays and cruises and get an instant price quote to share with customers.
Shane Riley, vice-president of international sales and marketing, told Travel Weekly the tool will “accelerate” agents’ access to pricing and could help them secure bookings more easily.
“This is a big thing our First Mates told us they wanted us to introduce as it will help them speed up by getting pricing at their fingertips,” he said.
“We did a survey of our UK agent partners which found 94% were satisfied with our service, however, they said that would go up to 100% if we had an online quoting tool so that’s what we’re doing.
“It’ll also free up our team to work on longer, more complex itineraries.”
