Wildlife Worldwide has added four new holidays to its UK and Ireland programme after seeing a surge of interest in domestic trips from first-time wildlife-watchers.
The specialist operator said the wildlife fans were “spurred on by their own explorations during lockdown”.
These new guided, small group holidays for 2023 include a tour to Devon, departures to the Hebrides and a trip to Ireland’s little-visited Saltee Islands for photography tips and tricks.
Wild Devon in Summer includes the chance to spot beavers along the river Otter and visit rewilding projects in the Coombeshead Reserve.
Departing on July 3, 2023, it costs from £975, including three nights’ accommodation, most meals, guiding and transfers.
Shiant’s Spectacular Puffins (pictured) features the chance to see some of the 240,000 puffins that make nest on the cliffs of the Shiants – an archipelago in the Outer Hebrides.
Guests stay aboard the MV Monadhliath, a former fishing vessel, and can also look out for basking sharks, minke whales and four species of dolphin.
It is priced from £1,895, including four nights on board MV Monadhliath, and departs on June 19, 2023.
Great Saltee Seabird Photography takes guests to a bird sanctuary off the Irish coast to see breeding pairs of northern gannet, Atlantic puffin, common guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes.
