Not in the Guidebooks bolsters staff with two new hires

The growing team at Not in the Guidebooks has been bolstered with two new appointments.

Caroline Burroughs has joined as trade sales development manager and Hannah Young as product executive.

Burroughs was previously business development/trade support manager at Wendy Wu Tours and worked for Thomas Cook for 20 years across the UK retail travel network, managing stores and as regional manager.

Young has worked arranging tailormade and group trips for Newmarket Holidays, African Travel Resource, Yellow Zebra and Flight Centre. She has also travelled extensively throughout the US, South America, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Sales director Debbie Sowden said: “We are growing our team all of the time, and it’s great that we continue to attract such high calibre talent to our business.

“Both Caroline and Hannah have worked for strong travel brands, and both have highly relevant experience.

“Caroline brings with her a track record of building relationships with travel partners, and Hannah’s extensive travel experience will be particularly helpful as we continue to develop our long-haul product portfolio.”

Burroughs added: “After working for a number of large established brands, I was drawn to Not in the Guidebooks as I feel it enables me to fully utilise my wealth of travel retailing experience and make a difference to what is a relatively new brand.

“My role is all about creating awareness for the Not in the Guidebooks proposition with the trade and it’s great that they are increasingly receptive to our offering of experiential, immersive and sustainable itineraries.”

Young said: “I was attracted to Not in the Guidebooks as I love their unique holiday and day experiences which are refreshingly different to the majority of what other travel companies offer.”
