SeaWorld’s Ice Breaker rollercoaster to open in February

SeaWorld Orlando’s Ice Breaker rollercoaster is to open on February 18, 2022.

The Florida theme park said the ride will feature four launches, both backwards and forwards, “culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida – a 93-feet tall spike with 100-degree angle”.

Riders will also experience a “near vertical top hat” manoeuvre – an ascent at a 90-degree angle, with a 90-degree lateral twist.

There are also twists, turns and “airtime hills”, during which riders experience weightlessness.

To mark the launch of Ice Breaker, SeaWorld has announced a new conservation partnership with the Alaska SeaLife Center, a research, rescue, rehabilitation, and education facility.
