Tall ship line Tradewind Voyages has unveiled the details of debut sailings in the Mediterranean next summer.
The ship Golden Horizon will run itineraries starting from Portugal in April and ending in Piraeus next October.
A total of 22 voyages are scheduled including visits to Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and Turkey.
Med voyages will range from seven to 11 nights in duration. Full details and pricing will be released October 19.
The 274-passenger Golden Horizon’s inaugural sailing in the region will be a seven-night voyage from Lisbon to Palma, with the Balearic capital becoming the base for all departures in May.
The ship will then run departures from Civitavecchia, the port for Rome, in June, Split in July and Piraeus from August to October.
Calls are planned to smaller and lesser-known ports, including Sete and Cassis in France, Gallipoli in Italy and Korcula in Croatia.
Tradewind Voyages chief executive Alan McGrory said: “We’re delighted to bring the world’s largest tall ship to the Mediterranean next summer and we are looking forward to sharing the details of this spectacular portfolio very soon.”
