Tui UK & Ireland has vowed to take almost 200 independent agents away on educational trips this year.
A total of 14 trips have been confirmed across the company’s brands under the ‘Tui Wanderlust’ initiative.
Agents will be able to take a Marella cruise, travel with Crystal Ski Holidays, take a Tui Lakes and Mountains trip and experience a Tui main beach destination.
The first trip to Cape Verde (pictured) will take place in March.
The company’s trade relations support team, headed by Hayley Vaughan, has focused the programme around Tui concepts and the customer journey.
The trips will contain fewer hotel visits, allowing agents time to immerse themselves fully in the concept so they understand what makes a Tui holiday so special, according to the operator.
UK & Ireland chief marketing officer Neil Swanson said: “Our aim is to foster a comprehensive understanding among agents showing the reasons behind our customers’ loyalty and repeated visits to our hotels.
“We strive to achieve this by actively engaging with independent agents and immersing them in Tui Wanderlust experiences.
“All our trips will be designed in a way to ensure agents will experience our concepts like a customer, so they are able to match their own customer types back to our broad range of exclusive hotels and owned concepts.
“All trips will be supported by a relevant Tui expert who can up-skill and train the agents on each hotel type and destination, as well as providing key insider knowledge.”
