Hapag-Lloyd Cruises to make US west coast bow

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has released a 2023-24 programme of 28 itineraries featuring new cruises along the US west coast and the Amalfi coast.

The line’s Europa 2 ship will call into Hawaiian Islands and the US west coast as it heads to South America between March 2023 and May 2024.

In September 2024, Europa 2 (pictured) will operate a nine-day round-trip cruise from Civitavecchia, Italy, calling into Tropea and Capri. Prices start from £4,674.

Prices for the 12-day round-trip The States of New England cruise departing from New York, calling into Rhode Island; Halifax; Nova Scotia; and Boston, start from £6,688.

The lead-in price for the 21-day Christmas-New Year cruise departing Rio de Janeiro on Europa 2 is £14,250.

Ports of call include Montevideo, Uruguay; Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, both Argentina; and Punta Arenas, Chile.

A third themed Illuminate2 cruise is planned for the 2023-24 season from Hamburg to Lisbon.

The ship is “transformed into a work of art comprising dance, atmospheric concerts and intoxicating worlds of images”, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises said. Prices for the cruise which runs from July 29 to August 10 start from £6,070.
