Karen Cameron returns to cruise sector with Ambassador

Karen Cameron is joining Ambassador Cruise Line as divisional sales manager for the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

She starts on February 1, having previously covered the same regions for  Carnival UK across P&O Cruises, Cunard and Princess Cruises.

Cameron was most recently head of experience for Haven and worked in the past for Stewart Travel, Barrhead Travel and Thomas Cook.

At Ambassador she will work alongside Louise Tansey, who also joins on February 1 as divisional sales manager for the south and Wales.

The line is looking to recruit further members to its trade support team with additional hires set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Head of distribution Nicola Harper said: “With a great reputation in the trade, Karen has considerable leadership experience and deep knowledge and insight of the UK holiday market, which will only benefit the brand as we look to showcase our premium-value product to our valued agent and trade partners.

“I recognise knowledge and experience of the product are key and the bolstering of the trade team is there to support and educate our valued trade partners.

“There is a big market for our premium-value product, and the trade can rest assured that the Ambassador sales team will be with them every step of the way to support their efforts to increase brand awareness and ultimately drive sales.”

Cameron added: “It’s an exciting time in the company’s journey, and I can’t wait to get onboard with the team in Purfleet [head office] while working with our key contacts across the north in my new role.

“I’m really looking forward to providing them with all the support and tools they need as Ambassador continues to provide exceptional levels of service to agents and trade partners.”
