Market Place Travel expands into North Yorkshire with second store

Independent travel agency Market Place Travel has opened a new branch in a former bakery chain outlet in Richmond, North Yorkshire.

The store previously occupied by Cooplands has been transformed in a town which has not had a travel agency for a number of years.

Market Place Travel opened its first branch in 2018 in Burton-upon-Trent in Staffordshire.

The business was set up by Mark Lomas and Karen Brown, who have more than 50 years’ travel industry experience between them, having previously worked together at Thomas Cook.

The new outlet is being managed by Ryan Allaker, who moved to the Richmond area earlier this year.

Lomas said: “One of our key objectives is to ensure their customers get value for money and we invite all our customers to challenge us to beat any holiday quote they have already seen, so many current customers have already saved pounds on their holiday when they have booked through Market Place Travel.”
