Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has cancelled four departures on Norwegian Joy over a month-long period that were due to happen early next year.
The 3,804-passenger ship, which was built in 2017, will undergo routine maintenance between January 6 and February 10, 2024, the line said.
A total of four sailings will be impacted: two 15-night voyages between Miami and Los Angeles, a 5-night Mexican Riviera getaway from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas and a seven-night sailing from Miami to Honduras, Belize, and Mexico.

NCL said: “As part of our commitment to continuously offer extraordinary vacation experiences around the world for our guest and to uphold a consistent world-class product across our fleet, Norwegian Joy will be undergoing routine maintenance in early 2024.
“In order to complete these enhancements, Norwegian Joy sailings from January 6, 2024, through and including February 10, 2024, have been cancelled.”
A full refund will automatically be returned to affected customers. But for customers who paid using future cruise credit (FCC), 100% of the credit used will be automatically reapplied to the customer’s account.
The line has also issued a 10% discount in the form of an FCC for a future cruise to affected passengers.
This credit may be used by and applied towards any of NCL’s published sailings through December 31, 2025. The FCC will be available from January 23, 2023.
