New Aquilium recruitment manager to boost homeworker numbers

Cheshire-based Aquilium Travel has taken on a recruitment manager to double its number of homeworkers from just over 30 to 60.

Louise Baxendell has stepped into the newly created role, moving from homeworking group Holidaysplease. She has also had recruitment roles with Not Just Travel and Global Travel.

Her appointment comes as Aquilium Travel reported more than 50% growth in sales since Jennifer Atkinson’s Travel Seen Group gained a majority share of the company seven months ago.

Gary Pridmore, chief executive of Aquilium and its The Travel Directors brand, said: “Jen has been an inspiration to us all and has invested heavily in the company, creating a lead generation system powered by Travel Seen which will give homeworkers direct access to qualified luxury travel leads, helping to grow the homeworkers’ businesses and provide added value.”

As well as boosting numbers for The Travel Directors, Baxendell will bring in more franchisees for the group’s Luxury Travel Franchise brand, which is aimed at those who are new to travel.

Baxendell said: “We all know that the luxury area of this wonderful industry is booming, and it is fantastic to be speaking to agents who are finally looking to reap the rewards for themselves.”
