Nigel McShine-Jones has been named as partnerships manager at Stuba as the accommodation-only specialist also bolsters its sales team with the appointment of a new regional BDM.
McShine-Jones returns to the travel sector after more then two years working for Halfords as a senior client development manager.
McShine-Jones previously worked for a number of travel brands including Musement, Legoland Florida and Online Travel Training (OTT).
He will report to head of marketing Sarah Clayton-Turner and will work with hotel partners, tourist boards and tech partners globally to “leverage Stuba’s extensive network of travel agents to achieve their goals”.
He said: “I’m genuinely ecstatic to be back in an industry that I love, one that is very much in my DNA. I am equally excited to have joined Stuba during such a fantastic period of growth and evolution.
“I’m already thoroughly enjoying diving into my new role and look forward to reconnecting with the industry to explore the many tremendous opportunities to work with us.”
Meanwhile, Lynsey Buntine has joined the Stuba sales team as business development manager, where she will support travel agents in Scotland and Northern England.
Buntine, with previous experience at CWT and Munro’s Travel, said: “I’m really looking forward to getting out on the road, meeting our agents, and helping them with their accommodation requirements.
“I’m excited to connect with existing partners and bring new agents on board, especially given Stuba’s reputation and longevity.”
