Libra expands retail network

LIBRA Holidays has revealed plans to expand its retailnetwork as work begins on rebranding its existing 12 shops to Travelseekers Worldwide.

Retail managing director Lynne Kirby said the company is looking for around 30 outlets, with a mix of high-street locations and call centres.

They are likely to be located near regional airports used by Libra.

It is believed some of the existing shops, which include six branches of Monks World Travel which Libra acquired at the end of last year, are in poor locations and near airports not served by the operator.

“We are carrying out thorough research to see where the best areas would be for expansion,” said Kirby.

“We will start with a plain piece of paper and do it properly.” She added that while the shops will push products in the Libra group, they will largely remain independent.
