Queenstown widens range of activities

QUEENSTOWN, South Island’s adventure capital, has widened its range of activity product for this year.

New options include rafting trips, additional horse-riding itineraries, a wine trail combined with jetboat travel and new scenic flights around the Otago and Fiordland regions.

Ground operator Family Adventures offers land-based activities followed by a rafting trip down a set of rapids. The whole trip takes about 7hrs and is suitable for those aged from three upwards.

Horse Riding in Paradise offers guided rides of between 5hrs-6hrs from Glenorchy. Two itineraries are offered, with lunch, and cost £58 each.

Kawarau Jet and Wine Central, have combined to offer the first-ever jetboat wine trail. It leaves from Queenstown Bay and routes through the Kawarau and Shotover rivers before arriving at Chard Farm vineyard in Gibbston Valley for lunch and wine-tasting. The half-day trip costs around £50.
