Future moves: eDreams is developing an on-line booking system

eDreams gets on-line with product from 20 operators

On-line travel agency eDreams has launched its site with product from 20 non-competing specialist tour operators.

Partners include Elegant Resorts, Journey Latin America, Bales Worldwide, Travelscene, Tapestry Holidays, Festival Cruises and Jetlife Holidays.

UK marketing director Karen Gee said:”We don’t want to have competing operators. We want to have a small number of operators and deliver really well for them. It doesn’t make sense for us to have companies with exactly the same product on the site.”

eDreams offers a telephone booking service and gives customers the option to talk to staff using an on-screen chatbox. An on-line booking system is being developed.

Meanwhile, eDreams has signed up 400 destination and activity specialists, known as DreamGuides, to offer free advice to site users.
